I will make sure that me and a few other anglers are there when you get there to help set up or just keep people out of your hair while you do.

For this event, I'll be at the ramp by 3:00pm

Mike, How does this lady think she can prove it was the CABA tourney that caused this? I have not heard her one time explain this in her emails. I also do not understand how she thinks you are resposible for or control me (for example). I am grown and do what i want to do. If i break your rules, you can DQ me but if i still want to act a fool, i can. You are a tournament director, not a daddy. It is wrong how she wants to impart the blame on your shoulders.
I have seen alot of fish thrown on the bank, in the bucket by bank fisherman. Alot of time they are fishing for crappie and do not want bass.

According to what I have heard she is an avowed atheist.Aren't these the same people that accuse Christians of trying to impose their values and beliefs upon them? So now she attempts,in typical liberal hypocritical fashion, to impose her values upon us.Its time all Americans, fisherman and everyone else,to stand up and speak out against this kind of eco terrorist insanity and let them know it will no longer be looked upon a some form of politcal correctness but as harassment and a violation of our rights and needs to be prosecuted as such.We are not violating any law and are acting within our right in the "persuit of happiness".

I am hoping you all have a good event and things go smooth. Hopefully no angler there will do anything to give us all a black eye. I would just fish and go about my buisness like PETA does not matter and would not give them the satisfaction of an argument or confrontation. They thrive on that and will exploit that if it happens.

Those of you that state that PETA doesn't care what we have to say are right-on..Trying to talk to them only developes quickly into a shouting matche.Ignore them, ignore them, ignore them, and just interact with the media and keep on your best sportsman consevation behavior...That will piss them off and disarm them more than anything you could say to thier face...I will not be fishing but I will certainly be there to support CABA and our sport.

There wont be any problems unless they start it.

However there are certin lines that cant be crossed without expecting someone to take a stand and defend themselves in a way that is appropriate for the line that is crossed! Everyone draws thier line at a different point. Lets just hope none of those lines are crossed.

If the turnout is as big as it sounds like it may be I am sure there will be some law enforcement on hand to deal with any trouble makers.

If their bus isn't leaving the Whole Foods until 6pm then they won't be there for blast off. They will be sitting around for several hours till weigh-in. Then the circus starts.

Who cares what she is? It ain't personal. Some of you guys seemed "threatened" by these people. They can't do anything except wave some signs. Be smart and completely ignore them. There are plenty of nut bags out there, and some of them are bass fishermen. If you really want trouble, then bow up and be bad,and you'll create trouble for our sport you never dreamed of. You owe it to all bass fishermen to behave properly and not create some scene for the News 8 camera that came can damage us all. Be manly, and restrain yourselves. Don't verbally respond, they are just trying to bait you.

FZ1 is absolutely right on this guys! I understand your frustration but we must all keep our cool and conduct ourselves in an orderly and professional manner or this incident will give our sport a black eye and play right into their hands. We have been given a great opportunity to demostrate the integrity and professionalism that exists in our sport. Lets not waste it.

FZ1, I think everyone on here fully understands your point as you have stated it about 13 times. However, there are just some things in life you have to stand up for. Yeah we maybe playing into there hand but who gives a chit. Bass fishing isnt going anywhere, and in the big scheme of things, what happens July 12th wont have any impact on the sport. What generates more revenue to the economy.... PETA or Fishing/Hunting?....Exactly.

PETA has never been successful with any of there agendas.

The reason I have to keep stating my point,is, because of posts like yours that refer to "Standing up" and "Defending our way of life",etc.,etc. Bass fishermen have already won. We don't have to "defend" anything. We are the majority. We get to fish as we please,so we don't have to "fight" for anything. These sign wavers can't take away our rights. They can't do anything except wave some signs and catcall you. Be smart and don't respond.
