 Looking for a partner in or around sabine pass/SETexas...maybe galveston/crystal?

I've been hanging around TFF for a while now, pissed a few people off, made some friends and learned some things blah blah...
Anyway, I'm trying to take up fly-fishing in salt. It's something I've never done before. I have a rod, reel(of dubious usefullness), some decent sinking tip line, and am in need of a partner or better yet someone to teach...
I do have the basics cast mechanic figure out, but will need practice to say the least.
Anyone want to have a newbie tag along?

i might beable to give you a few pointers, should be in galveston the weekend of the 24th
I am a part time custom rod builder, Rods By Chris. I specialize in fly rods, but just down right enjoy building custom fishing rods. I see each as a piece of art. rodsbychris@gmail.com

TFO? Nah I locked horns years ago with a guy named trout killer , and there's been some good, and some not so good, natured trash talking with the resident sip crowd.

actually i am going to have another friend of mine (both of us class of 07 and my wife class of 07) down there and we are planning on getting some serious fishing done

That'd be funny.
I bought a set of waders, I might head out for rollover or sabine pass area in the morning......dunno depends on the weather.

Will at least be wearing the ray guards. I don't wade this nasty [censored] around sabine pass without them usually.

I was out all afternoon monday in them, didn't bug me? These are the "breathable" ones, and quite honestly once your in the water they're fine.
