need some advice. Have a 10yr old Motorguard 50 that came original on the boat...2000 - 175 Nitro. Was on Tawak this morning and it didn't want to run right and the foot pedal was hard to move forward and backwards. When I twist the bottom portion of the motor it has a bad grinding noise. Are there gears in the shaft or is my problem else where? Just went to BassP and replacement will cost me $385 for new one. Any suggestions?
Thanks....
