I'm planning to fish either Rc or CC this Sat. I realize it's been a bit windy for sane folk to be out on such lakes, but any info would be nice.
I know some good spots, but I have not been on either lake this year.

i think you will be able to catch fish on the spots you know....

Barry and I went over to CC a couple of weeks ago to fish docks in the evening. I drove straight to Merimac to find it is a private landing now and not for us ordinary folk.

We went back up the road to Don's. I didn't think I'd get it in the water!

Hope to see you Sat. I'll be with a buddie in a camoed tracker with a 40 horse. It new and he wants me to show him where to fish. I figured I take him to the same places you showed us or figure something out at RC.

I went to RC this last weekend. I wanted to try some spots I'd read about here. Found Pelican Island and then I think I went to the 309 flats. I went South from PI and then turned to the left. I was out in the middle of the lake and my graph was reading only 4 feet!! Is this the 309 flats? If so, do you just rely on the birds to tell you where to fish? I found windsock point and motored around a bit looking at the graph, but didn't see anything. Neither structure nor fish. Is there any kind of structure I should be looking for on the graph at windsock point? Any other places I should've looked besides these three? I did manage to find a big *** school at Pelican Island.

I sent some friends who are not "fishermen" by name...might fish once a year. They were at RC for 4 hours and brought home 70 nice sandies....

I guess there now fishermen....and RC is always hot this time of the year!

I fished CC this weekend and it was good a few hybrids and a bunch of sandbass. Sat afternoon was fun fishing with shad caught a nice crappie then a few cats and sandbass but could not get a hybrid to bite.That has only happened a couple of times to catch all four with shad on one trip. Sunday four hybrids a few sandbass then the WIND!! Any questions about the wind on Sunday morning?

gr, if you were down near the dam and on the east side i guess, that would be 309 flats and they get pretty shallow!
