I have an older friend that is looking for a water wagon type one man fishing 'boat?' Does anyone still manufacture these? Or, does someone possibly have one just collecting dust that they need to get rid of?
Thanks

They are not manufactured anymore.

There is a long time bass club in Amarillo that fishes exclusively from water wagons and the like (no boats). Don't know the club name or contact but I'm sure you can do some research, make some calls to an Amarillo tackle shop, boat dealer or a Lake Meredith business and find someone who knows.

Good Luck
Charlie

You need to contact "Sandwich Maker" from Snyder, Texas. He is an expert on the Water Wagons and fishes from one all the time. He will have the information you need.
Good Luck,

Thanks guys, I know this is a hard search, but my friend insists that is the only way he wants to fish. Personally, I'll keep my 521VX. Ha.
Thanks

The original water wagons were made by Boyd Hinton in Amarillo in the 60's, 70's and possibly ealy 80's. They are no longer made in their original configuration although originals are still around and available but quietly. The club from Amarillo is the Mini Boat Bass Club. These guys fish the largest variety of lakes and travel the greatest distances of any club anywhere that I am aware of and fish exclusively two day tournaments. Most of these guys attach 2-4 hp. gas motors, depth finders, and other accessories to their "boats". I know of a couple of originals in excxellent condition for sale if you will e-mail me I will give you details. I fished from one for years and still enjoy it from time to time. No better way to fish a heavy cover shallow water lake than from a water wagon. 'spoon
