I'm not sure what dialog with PETA would accomplish. It's a risk without reward scenario.

Everyone must understand that, essentially, PETA's stance is that all forms of fishing are cruel and inhumane, and they want the practice eradicated.

Trying to explain to them how much care is taken with fish (PETA tends to call them "sea kittens", lol) at tournaments will not persuade them in any way. The fact that you have a fishing pole makes you evil to them. They are in no way interested in hearing anything you have to say. In fact, they would be more likely to throw a giant treble hook at you, rather than listening to you.

If you are at this tournament, and PETA is there protesting, the very best thing you can do is ignore them.

I respect your opinion, but think it is totally wrong. PETA needs to be confronted, peacefully of course, but confronted none the less, and vigorously opposed. And the first question that needs to be pressed is why they are supporting two organizations, ALF and ELF, on the FBI's terrorist watch list?

Organization is the key guys. its the only reason they have the platform they do.

Without organization any group is just a mob waiting for a confrontation.

I would let someone with the tournament orgainization try to organize any showing.

wow this is just crazy.Everyone is right in saying just remember to keep your cool it will look better for us (sportsman)to be well spoken instead of going out there hopping and hollering at them.Just my 2 cents

In your responses, don't forget the reputaion of CABA and its participants as well as ALL sportsman are on the line here. So please be fair and polite but firm. I don't know yet what it will be, but God will cause something good to come from this. Who knows, mabe the PETA gal will get saved! Now that would be awsome!

We've got a live release tank that is used during our full day events. Our weekly events are only 3.5 hours long.
