On the way to the lake today I noticed my outboard bouncing around while going down the road. When I got to the ramp the Lock-N-Haul had come out. And, on the way home it came out three more times. The trim works fine, and it holds while on pad, but for some reason it`s not holding down so the LnH keeps falling out. You can lift up on the motor and it will raise up. This is not normal, but I don`t know what causes this. Anyone know what causes this and what I need to do to fix it?

If the motor trails out (moves back) when you slow down on the lake or you can lift the engine while tilted up then you have a seal thats bad in the trim or a lack of fluid causing an air bubble.

Have seen the top pin come out or break, top end of the tilt cylinder and cause this.

Either the above or your manual release screw is loose.
