So here's what happened.
I cleaned some fish Sunday, washed em, put em in a bowl, covered with water and added some salt. I then sealed the container and stuck em in the fridge. I just remembered they are in there. They are to be eaten this weekend.
Are they good?
Should I freeze between now and then?
Should I throw em out?

Usually until I get there and eat them, which isn't long.
They should be fine, a bit waterlogged but probably ok. I would dry them off and put them on ice.

I have heard 3-5 days for fish but I do not think 6 would be a problem. I ususally freeze my fish in water immediately after cleaning but what I had last night I am going to approach things a little differently. On Sat. I caught a 3.5 blue cat on Fork and cooked it fresh last night. From now on I will always set aside some fresh fillets and freeze the rest. That was the best cat I have ever tasted. I have always noticed a difference with stripers because I normally grill them but not cats.

They should still be good. Go ahead and freeze them and then get them out in time to thaw and cook this weekend. No problem as long as the fish have been treated/handled properly up to this point.

Freezing fish in a bag/container filled with water works good, but if you wrap the fillets tight in saran wrap, then place them in a zip-lock bag and freeze them, they will last over a year in the freezer. I prefer to wrap them in saran wrap rather than freeze them in water because they take up less room and they thaw out faster. Just my two cents.

Shouldn't be a problem. That's three days, which is about as long as I'll let 'em go myself, but they may be safe longer. I'd go ahead and freeze 'em to be safe.
No fish is too good for the grease.

They should be okay. Like many said, smell them. If they are real fishy smelling, then they are getting close to too long.

Soak mine in milk in a covered container and they have lasted a week and were still good. Smell them if the stink throw them out.

Why did you put some salt in it? I did that once makeing some jerky and put it in a bowl overnight and the next day it had absorbed the salt so much I had to throw it out.

They should be fine, a bit waterlogged but probably ok. I would dry them off and put them on ice. Agree with Kat about being waterlogged. I left some in the fridge soaking for a day too long once also. Was hard to keep together while cooking and tasted weird. Not like bad meat, but just weird taste and texture. Wouldn't serve it too guests this weekend though!!
