I have a 24 pitch Turbo that you can try. It's what came on mine. In fact it's what I was using in my signature picture.

rajin cajun that would be awesome ! For some reason a 24 sounded really steep. Isn't that more for skiing. I thought the smaller the number the faster you can go. and taller numbers meant jumping it up out of the water kinda responce. I'm really not sure. but since you had it on you motor, how did it do ?

The higher the number the faster top speed and the lower is for pulling skiers. The last two of the Stock 2liter 150HP I have had this same prop on and it was a great all-around size. I could meet you somewhere this Saturday and you could try it and see what you think. I was getting 62 on GPS with it.

on an 81 150hp merc. a tempest won't work.
look for a 23p laser II.

the old style turbo's are similar to a laser II. so they will work too.

the new props are too aggressive for the older engines.

I meant Laser and it is in good shape. Steve put it on the pitch block about 2-3 years ago and I ran it once.

I'd really like to try a prop and see how it does, i'm thinking 21-23 would be the best bet. I know the smaller the number of pitch, put you on plane faster, the bigger the pitch the faster you can go, i just want it to get on plane fast. I'm no speed junky, where everything has to go fast as it can. My buddy had a 91 merc 150 and he ran a 21p it would jump on plane pretty fast. very similar boat to mine, but a little heavier. I'm hopeing i can get it on the water by the weekend. doctors appointment in an hour and then i'm working on the boat, and i'm off the rest of the week. Should be plenty of time.

You can try mine some time if you want to. You will need a Flotorque hub though.
