I have been wondering about chumming the deep water. I made some eye watering super stinky chum but i don't want to wast it. I am new to the deep water ( just got a pontoon ). I fished out by Holiday at Tawak sat. night in about 30 ft. of water caught 10 or so channels but would like more action. So what do u think?

get you a burlap sack or a bucket with holes drilled in it. fill it with your chum, tie a cement block to it, a rope and jug to mark it and let it sink.

That makes sense but would you need to sink the stink the day before and how long do you think the same bag of stink would last?

the main trouble with chumming in deep water is gettin' the chum on bottom & not be scattered so bad it is not much use
get some of the big paper grocery bags ... put the chum in the bag & tie a line onto the top of the bag ... gently let the bag down to bottom & give the line a jerk ... the bottom of the bag will tear out & dump yer chum, retrieve the enpty bag ... repeat as many as you like & your chum will be purty much all in one place ... you can fish straight down ... this really gets good on about the second or third day but does take lots of chum
regards albertking catfishing is now an industry ... it's best for the industry to eat baby catfish
