I filmed my tv show on Joe Pool today with Hal Dodd. We loaded the boat with two at a time of magnum sandbass. Got a great show. Hal is a real pro, the nachos and brew afterwords weren't bad either. Thanks for a good time Hal.

No, no surface action today and it was around 12:30 pm before we started. We did see some of those fake gulls, you know the smaller ones that fake you out on feeding sandbass.

you'll get some surface action the hour before dark...

God was with me today. TNT slabs did the trick and the crappie jigs above it did almost as good.

I love how Bonita asks me questions I know she has the answer to. She's a blast and Brian from Comcast (our camera man) was a blast too.

Thanks Bonita for this oppurtunity, being a guide is alot of fun but being on the silver screen makes all my "someday I want to be on TV" dreams come true.

Oh, the gulls do work Pool, learn the difference between the ones that tell the truth and the ones that lie. They look quite different.

Topwater happened today for the gulls but we didnt see any sandies boiling. Stick to the bottom if you want results.

I used to carry a 50 lb. tackle bag with me and now I only carry Humdingers, TNT Casting and Slabbing spoons and crappie jigs.

We took the Hell-on the 2 stroke, I mean hell-pet but didnt need it whatsoever.

Thanks Bonita, my boat is yours anytime.

Sounds like a fun day, glad to hear the TNT's worked out for you two today. Only wish I was able to see the show up here in SW Oklahoma. Hal can you please send me a copy... smile Only thing better than magnum sandbass, is catching them two at a time.

Congrats to both Hal and Bonita on a successful trip!! Hal, you've worked hard for this, and have earned it. You are now THE MAN when it comes to sandies on the Pool.

Keep up the good work.

Wayne

You guys make me blush. I love you all. I wish I could have all of you on the show catching one sandbass after the other. Maybe I will try to get a show together with the TFFers on the Pool or some place in the metroplex. That would be great.
Hal, did you mention the fact that Eagle Claw Hooks are on the lures we used. Not to sound like a commercial, but Eagle Claw now has glow hooks, bleeding hooks, chartreuse and fluorescent orange. They also have a stinger hook with line attached. It works great with live bait hook ups.
As soon as I can get the show edited by Brian my photographer producer/director we will get it on the air.
