are the trokar brand hooks really that much better than their competitors like gamagatsu or owners call me crazy but i just cant seem to compute how they can be worth 2$ per hook

They aren't worth that much more over other quality hooks.

Your initial thought is correct. They are not worth $2.00 each.

The price of everything is all relative to the value you place on an item. Most people think the price of a new Ranger boat is worth it while others may not. I pay extra for wanting to use Yamamoto senkos in tournaments vs lower priced knock offs while others may not. Some may think paying a guide $350 is too much money while others may not. so some tournament anglers may find the value of having extra sharp hooks worth it while others may not. It just depends on whats important to you.

For how many your getting it's not worth it, but you would have to try them to see if you if you like them. It's what you thinks best were just giving our own oppinions.

Totally worth it. With my old hooks, I'd be lucky to boat a full stringer of dinks. Now I am literally catching dozens of 8+ pounders per outing...and that's just with the bare hooks - no plastics needed!

Also, since I've been using them, the wife has lost 80 pounds and her chronic bad breath has almost completely cleared up!

Trokar hooks have changed my life - and for $2 per hook, that's a bargain in my book!
