I have two basic set ups that I use. Curado 200 on Allstar 6'-6" topwater special. Curado Spheros 300 on 7' medium heavy spinning rod.

i use 7 ft ugly sticks and abasader 5600 and a diawa strickforce they work very well.also use a ugly stik spinning rod and a cardinal reel.

i have 2 ugly stick inshore series 6'6 with abu garcia 5500 and 2 shimano 7 ft with 6500.

I use Shimano Citica or Curado 200's on 6'6"-7' Falcon XG Coastal and St. Croix topwater rods and have a couple of lighter rods for throwing light weight to weightless soft plastics.

Depends how you are going to fish... wade or from a boat or fish from shore...

Wade fish use a shorter rod 6ft to max 6.5ft fairly stiff if I am fishing plastics (saltwater assasins)

I am fishing from the bank with one rod 11'build by me on fly blank ALL STAR AUSTIN 9' W10 +Kistler HELIUM LTA extension.Most of the time i fish with this rod,but i have more spinning rods(Lamiglas Certified Pro 12',G.LOOMIS IMX ,GLII,SAGE RTLX,fly rods change by my in spinning rod.
I like to fish just with spinning reels, DAIWA SS TOURNAMENT 1300,1600 using braid(Fireline Smoke 4lb.,Spiderwire Stealth 6lb.,Spiderwire Ultracast 6lb.and Spiderwire Ultracast 10lb.)+fluorocarbon leader 6lb-15lb.

I like 7ft rods in the boat or wade.

I throw the Laguna Extremes and Waterloo HP Slam Mag II paired with Core 50's - 6'6" length...

I love the Core. Its by far the best reel I have ever used.I have used Curado 101D for many years and was reluctant to spend the money for a Core thinking it couldn't be that much better. It is, by far.

the core is a great reel but just be careful boat rash can be the end of that magnesium frame. It does have a nice clear coat on the outside to keep the magnesium from corrosion but if it gets chipped it will rust.

My personal favorite is the curado e series i use both one on a H&H back country rod and the other on a 7 ft. Allstar platinum trout and redfish special. but more than anything its what you like the feel of.
