I'm planning on fishing in the morning. I was origanally planning on going to Texoma and fishing with live bait but all the talk about Bridgeport has me questioning my origanal plan. Need some help making up my mind.

I know, they are forcasting 15 to 20 mph winds as early as 6:00 am. I'm not so sure about this anymore. That can be one mean lake.

If you have bait all ready in the tank then go to Bridgeport. Its closer and the fishing is good. Theres also a lot less water to look in.
If you dont have bait then go to Texocean. Bait has been easy to get there and catching bait at BP is at times diffacult.Just my two cents.

It doesn't look like I am going to get to fish tommorrow now anyway. I am meeting a guy in Decator at 10:00 am to buy a set of tires. It doesn't look like the wheather is going to cooperate with me to try to go fishing on Sunday either. On one hand I'm ready for the hotter calm months and on the other I wish the wheather would cooperate for just one weekend. If I am lucky I might get to go next weekend. Thanks for the input though. I've had great luck on both lakes.
Thanks John Davis

JED, oNLY MY TWO SENSE WORTH, BUT I TRIED BRIDGEPORT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIFTEEN YEARS. aND THERE WERE A FEW GOOD FISH ON SOME POINTS, BUT i HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A LAKE THAT YOU COULD NOT MARK FISH ON ALL THE POINTS AND HUMPS, THERE WERE A FEW HOT SPOTS AND THE REST OF THE LAKE LOOKS DEAD LIKE IT LOOKED 15 YEARS AGO. IF IT WAS LEWISVILLE YOU COULD HAVE 50 FISH TO 5 OF WHAT YOUR GOING TO GET AT BRIDGEPORT, NEXT TIME PICK TEXOMA OR LEWISVILLE. FISH ALL OVER THE LAKE ON POINTS HUMPS,LEDGES. IF BRIDGEPORT EVER HAS MORE THAN 20 HYBRIDE FISHERMAN ON IT HAVE FUN ON THE 2 THREE SPOTS TO FISH, TAKE A RIDE ALL OVER THE LAKE AND SEE HOW MANY FISH YOU MARK. ONE GOOD THING,I THINK I SEEN 30 BOATS ALL DAY AND 25 WERE IN A BASS TOURNAMENT. BOB

Everyone has their own opinion and that is what makes life interesting. Let me give my opinion now.
I fished Bridgeport 2 times in the last 4 days. First day out was in a motor boat. 2 of us caught 54 fish on the 'Fly'. Mixed bag of Hybrid's, Sand Bass (large), Crappie and 1 lonely cat fish (keeper size). Yesterday 3 of us left the motor boat's at home and took our Kick Boats (plastic pontoon's with a seat in the center and you use flipper's to propel yourself). I am not sure on the exact numbers of fish caught for the morning but I estimate it to be at least 60 fish minimum. And one of the guy's was a very novice fly rodder with limited fishing. This time a mixed bag of Hybrid's (largest at 6 lb's, Sandies (large), Crappie and Large Mouth's. And again all on the Fly and this time from inexpensive means of water craft.
It is a big rush to have large Hybrids busting 5 inch shad right next to you within spitting range. For that matter Sand Bass to.
I guess there must be at least 4 spots then on B'Port to fish cuz I did not see another fishing boat on our spot in about a 7 hour period.

3 day, keep making post like that so everyone stays off the lake ! I have been pounding the lake for the past 5 months, and have limited out every trip nomatter how many people in the boat. I have caught fish in over 22 different locations, and been the only boat on the fish many of the times. Sounds like you had a bad day, and your report reflects it, but one day in fifteen years is not justification for a report like that.
