Went to Grapevine and fished and limited out in about 2 hours Saturday afternoon. Went last Wednesday and took a friend and we limited out in about 3 hours. Very few throw backs. Several in the 14 inch range. All caught on minnows in 15 to 20 feet over brush. I left them bitting saturday.

I was on the Vine both days this past weekend, and limits were pretty much the rule. The larger fish are starting to show...right on time for Grapevine. Summer is the time for big fish there, if you know where and how to find them.

Can some of your guys PM me some time and locations where you caught your limits? I have been fishing in grapevine for several times and never caught even one crappie. Just some big mouth. I live in FM and only 5 minutes to the lake with a small boat. Any help would be appreciate.

Mid mornings and afternoons, but early morning isn't too shabby either.

I don't think there is much difference right now. They are stacked in there this time of year.
