This fish only weighed 7lb10oz on my scale. She had a 10lb head though. I think probably an older fish. One of only 5 bass I caught during 4 straight all nighters. BTW, the time is an hour behind, it was 1:30am

Here's my theory..... it was late at night, the clubs had just closed. Her eyes do look a little red, suggesting that she had too much to drink and probably vomited due to all the fighting she did....just like all the other big-mouthed hawgs I've ever dealt with that late at night (except this one probably didn't want you to take her home with you). You should have just told us that and we would have believed you because that is DEFINITELY a 10lb'er!!!

She's probably just coming off spawning , if you would have caught her a month earlier she would have weighted ten
