Went to Benbrook lake on Friday. Some fine Texas youth decided to throw rocks at me to in order to sink my canoe. Seems like live and let live does not apply to these stalward young men. I thought I would skip the crazies if I went on Friday, but I forgot that white tr@sh does not have a job, so they go to the lake all the time.

Went to Lake Gilmer Sunday no boat ramp problems but did have limited space to beach the boat due to all the bank fisherman. Did not even try the dock it was full, lines going out everywhere. When one group left there was another to fill in.

not recent..but when I had my first bass boat it was really rough. It was an old falcon with rhino lining all over it for bow fishing and stuff. We were loading out of a marina with lots of pleasure boats, jet ski's ( you get the picture ) A couple of kids were walking with their mom to their cruiser and the lil girl was staring and her mother told her," don't stare at them honey..they are fisher people". My wife passed a brick!!

I got a new (to me ) CC the next spring ...for mother's day!!

Be grateful that you don't fish Lewisville, where we get treated to 'loin-cloth man' ... now there's a sight guaranteed to make you appreciate boat ramp follies!

Was at Stillhouse Sat. fishing a long finger approx 3/4 mile long, and wouldnt you know it Stupid Azz jet skiers come through full blast,ok I accept the fact that those idiots have no brain cells but come within 20 yds of me turned around and came back the same way wide open. Then 3 runabouts/bay boats same way, full speed on plane 20 30 yds away thinking they own the whole F,n lake.I fish this lake 3-4 times a week and never had a problem with this.Do these people not realize Fisherman are for the most part, most courteous folks around that pump more $$$ into the local economy than these dipsh&*'s that come out once or twice a month and posess not a single mannner.Oh and had to wait in line for 30 min to load boat, there should be a mandatory backing and know how to operate your boat class, freakin morons learn to drive.

Nothing over the weekend but week before last was at Choke Canyon, Never seen anything like it before either we just had our boat trailered and getting it ready for the road when walking back from the out house a boat was just coming out of the water when all of a sudden the lower unit was just pounding and dragging the ramp, I was yelling the guys in the boat were yelling the the little old lady behind the wheel had deaf ears and she just kept going, my sister was closer and got her attention and got her to stop. What had happened when the guy behind the steering wheel on boat had it throttled up to keep boat against the stopper, his motor quit as the little old lady was pulling out and the boat slipped half way off the trailer dragging the lower unit.

I learned to never go to crowded boat ramps full of idiots on the weekends. Too much waiting, headache, and temptation to shoot someone.

Heck, just yesterday at Fork 515 West bridge. Guy was cleaning his boat while taking it out on the ramp. We had to wait for him to move it.

Not this past weekend, but these stick out in my mind. Couple months ago at canyon lake. Me and Joel are on the water on a brush pile right by the Jacobs creek ramp, we watched a truck back down with two jet fleas on it and they proceded to work on drive around and continue to work on their [censored] on the ramp for almost 45 minutes. I was shocked no one shot them. I was just happy I had the Fort Sam rec site ramp to use.
Last week at Braunig, there is a lane you take that allows you to be out of the way to prep your boat before you get to the ramp. There are even signs telling you to do this. We are coming in, I tie up at the dock, go get the truck/trailer and a guys drives through the parking lot, to the first ramp and backs into it infront of me (I use the second ramp) no problem I think until he stops and him and is buddy start loading their boat!! I had to sit and wait for these idiots! I hate going to the lake on a weekend between April and Oct.
