First off, thanks for takin the time to help me out with this. Ok, here's what I've got goin on, I am wanting to rearrange my rods and reels to get the most versatile, most efficient, best performing set ups. Rods: 1- 7' Medium - Fast - Gander Mtn GSX Titanium 2- 7' Medium Heavy - Fast - Gander Mtn GSX Tournament 3- 7'4" Medium Heavy - Fast - Quantum SuperLite Reels: 1- Shimano Citica - 6.3:1 2- Quantum Catilyst - 7.0:1
Currently I have the Shimano on the 7' Medium rod w/ 15 lb fluorocarbon that I use for most of my all around stuff and the Quantum is on the 7' Med Heavy w/ 50 lb PowerPro braid which I mostly use for flipping/pitching. The other rod I just bought (Quantum SuperLite) and haven't got a reel for it so I'm looking for ratio suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One more thing, I may be selling that Quantum soon (only used it twice and the feel of it just isn't for me) so a couple of reel suggestions would be good too. Thanks!

okay here's some suggestions for you. The first combo pair that 7' medium rod w/ the shimano citica. This is your light spinnerbait/crankbait pole. that 7' medium heavy action works great for jigs/heavier spinnerbaits/worms, basically an all around rod. I would pair it with another shimano citica. last of all that 7'4" rod would be great for flipping/pitching. And my reel suggestion would be to get a shimano curado E7 which would perfectly match that pole. hope this helps you.

That helps a lot beezy! That is kind of the direction that I was thinking for it also so I'm glad to see that I am on the right track here. Thanks again!

Another thing is that I love the Citica that I have but for the 7:1 reel I'm debating going w/ the Curado or the 2010 Abu Revo SX... Just can't make my mind up on these and all of the reviews on both are about equal. So...

Best to have all your reels be the same.

I would opt for the curado because because it's my personal preference and I like the bigger handles knobs on the curado, and the curado's drag is very smooth. Get the revo if you're into having an ultra nice looking reel, with a crazy drag.

What do you mean by "crazy drag" over 20 lbs of drag. Seriously I don't even see why someone would need this much drag power. Just my opinon.

Gotcha. Well today I sold the Catalyst and got a Revo SXT-HS so I'm ready to get out and give it a try. Still don't know what I'm going to put them on and what else I need to get...

Ok, here is the update as to what all I have now:
1. 7' Medium Fast 10-17 lb line 1/4-3/4 oz lure 2. 7' Medium Heavy Fast 10-20 lb line 3/8-1 oz lure (pretty soft tip and a longer handle behind the reel seat) 3. 7' Medium Heavy Fast 10-17 lb line 3/16-3/4 oz lure 4. 7'4" Medium Heavy Fast 8-17 lb line 1/4-3/4 oz lure (Quantum Superlite PT) 5. 6'6" Medium Extra Fast 8-17 lb line 1/4-5/8 oz lure (All Star Plat)
Shimano Citica 6.3:1 w/ 15 lb Berkly 100% Fluorocarbon Abu Garcia Revo STX 7.1:1 Can and may trade for a 6.3:1 (no line yet need suggestions)
I'm thinking that I'll probably get a better reel for weightless/fines and put that on rod 1 and I am probably going to sell rod 5 and can swap rod 2 for something else if need be. Other than that... what rod paired with what reel and line for what purpose?
Thanks.

Rod #1 looks like a decent crankbait rod. You'd want a lower speed reel on that one if you can get it. 12lb Flouro so the baits run closer to advertised depth.
Rods #2 and #3 look like general use rods really. You can do one T-Rig, probably 15-17lb flouro. The other one you might set up for spinnerbaits. Same line size..I prefer 7.1 for SBs, but 6.3 is fine.
Rod #4 might be your best option for flippin jigs. I would prefer a heavy, but it will probably be fine. Would be too long for me personally for anything other than flippin jigs or plastics. I'd put some 50+ braid on this one with a heavy (20-25) flouro leader. 6.3 or 7.1 will work.
Rod #5 looks like the best option for a weightless maybe. A medium heavy extra fast would be better I think, but depends on how stiff that medium is. 12lb line and a 7.1 reel.
Just my 2 cents based on what you have there. Take it for what it's worth.
