My best friend, Ralph Worley, goes down there every morning and has for the last 15 or so years to feed the ducks and pick up trash. He rarely misses a day of this. In September he will celebrate his 83rd birthday. Last Sunday he was doing what he does when some pos walks up behind him and pulls a knife on him and demands his money. Ralph complies and gives the man what he asks for, then tries to run. While running as fast as his 82 year old legs will let him, he falls and skins up his elbow and hurts his hip. The man sees him on the ground and runs to Ralph's truck and starts rummaging through it. The man tells him if he calls the police, he will kill him, then runs off to the other side of the levy where a woman picks him up. The man is tall and skinny with salt and pepper hair and probably in his 50's.

People that prey on the elderly deserve no mercy.

this kind of stuff ticks me off, i was fishing there about 2 weeks ago. I hope old man Worley recovers and doesn't let the incident phase him and he goes back to cleaning up the lake.

What happened to Mr. Worley is terrible. I hope the criminal that did this is caught.

Wow! Unbelievable, you have to be some kind of low life to rob an elderly man. I hope he recovers quickly.

Wow look at what America has become. So sad, stories like this break my heart. People like that deserve to be shot, i guess they can wake up early and go to work like everyone else. I know times are tough and i have been through it but robbing a old man that is doing nothing but good for the community is just low life

I really hate to hear about these things. Waht kind of a man does it take to mess with an eighty three year old man, or a 12 year old child. Leave the elderly and the young alone. If you really need to screw with someone, look me up. I am only 6'4" and weigh 300 lbs and lets see how easy it is. Sorry for the rant.

I will keep an eye out ,live rite up the street fish there all the time, i got 45 reasons he wont do this to me or any one else when i am around. i am all ways packing and dont mean a lunch!!!
