Lonestar email responded to.

VSTK thanks for going out on another unbelievable day. 275 for the day isnt a bad count, is it? Nothing like spanking fish on the best slabs out there TNT Slabs and Sooner Slabs. Had a great time out there and a blast fishing with Trey. He is going to be awesome when he hits our age laugh . Going out tonight. Then start climbing the mountain on these orders, whew this is going to be fun.

Is there anyone else out there needing a couple? fish

Bryon and I both needed an excuse to fish so we found one. He had painted up some really pretty 6 oz slabs for my father-in-law and I needed to pick them up. We met at the boat ramp about 6:00 on sat morning. Loaded up Trey and headed out to hunt hybrids. We never did find those big hybrids but all of us were OK with it. We found those sandies.....am lot of them. We looked around and found a few early, but about 7:00 all hell broke loose...they schooled up and surfaced until almost noon. it was the strangest thing you ever saw. We are in the middle of acres of surfacing fish and catchin them on every cast.....there are other boats close to us, dropping bait, slabbing, and even some rude trollers.....they didnt have a clue, we had the surfacing fish all to ourselves. Just cant beleive someone fishing woulnt be atracted to acres and acres of surfacing fish? They were chasing ghost minnows and there was littlerly a fog of them above the sandies at times. Smaller bait was sure needed....it isnt often I downsize bait...but I did yesterday. Bryon got a head start on Trey and I throwing a smaller lure.....after a few fish I changed to a 1 oz Sooner and it was a pretty even catch most of the day. Those TNT slabs Bryon makes are nice looking lures and he really shows how they catch sandies .. if I slipped out in front in numbers it was because I caught them 2 at a time all day.....my bucktail about 18 inches up the line stayed full all day. It does take a little longer to get two off but the additional fish makes for a better fight. Once Trey got the patern figured out he really worked them fish over. He threw that same bait caster all day.....I think he pulled out a couple small back lashes but he fished like a pro. He did notice that Bryon spent a lot of time backlashing.....I think he even stated to refer to that as a "Bryon" as the day went along.....which I guess is fair as he pointed out that I seemed to loose a few slabs during the day.....I think he used that one slab all day also.

The funniest.....well have to laugh to keep from being mad about it.......there was a really rude troller out. He would troll within about 20 feet of us all over the lake....funny we didnt see him catch much. Anyway at one point we had found some sandies along a drop off and were drifting this one spot over and over. I think we must have had about 20 triples on that one spot. bryon was trying a few new slabs of his, Trey had on the same 1 oz Sooner with a buck tail and I switched to a deadly Sidewinder (deadly on the fish and on your self as those two treble hooks get you from time to time). We dropped a marker so we could have a reference to our spot. We are fishing away and they troll about 20 feet from us........right over our marker....he wrapped it up on his prop.....I waved at him and told him we wanted our marker back and he was clueless.....I told him it was on his prop.....he finnally stopped and lifted his motor and then started to get mad. Seems that some how it was our fault he drove over a bright orange marker in the middle of the lake 20 feet from where we were fishing.......go figure.

About 3:30 we needed to call it quits and get back to town. We ended the day with between 250 and 300 sandies.....2 walleye, and one cat fish. All fish came on slabs..both Bryons TNT and the Sooner slabs Trey and I were using.

THANKS BRYON for getting us on some fish........Trey really had a great time.

6oz for hybrids? 6oz is what we use for snapper if we can get past the kings! Big slabs! Bryon, you plan on selling 6oz slabs? I might be interested for some offshore fishing. The holographix would be a must. Those of you that are not so sure about TNT slabs should reconsider. Also, if you do get them, the holographix insert on them seems to make a difference. The minute we put some flash out yesterday, we got into a thick mess of hybrids.
Here is what you catch when using TNT slabs. (and this is maybe only a 1/4 of what we caught, if that)

Average hybrid was between 4 and 6lbs. I wish I had bought some of the slabs with the reflective properties, the ones we were using were kind of a gift or trial issue but they work like a champ! I would deff. give them a try and my next batch will deff. include the holographix.
Good luck guys

keith

Those 6 oz were for lake trout in Utah later in the year. ....you should see them........really nice looking baits (Bryon did you get any pictures of those, should I shoot a couple?)......I do normally use a bit heavier slab than most. I almost always have a 2 1/2 oz slab tied on and when I downsize it maybe al the way down to a 2 oz.........yesterday was an exception...........Van

LOL.. 6oz would be huge for hybrid but might actually work for large striper and will deff. work for offshore. I too like a larger slab, normally using nothing less than 2oz. Lake trout would be a blast and if you dont mind, post pics of the slabs as I am interested.

I think it might be hard to fish for hybrids because opf the weight, but not sure too big would be the issue. We use a 6 and 7 inch pencil Popper and well as some really big Long A's for them...........Later today I will get some pics shot of them and post.

Sorry, guys popped in from pouring and painting lead... Plus grab a nice beverage... No I didnt get a pic, wish I had as they turned out pretty nice. I dont really offer the big baits, least not yet. I am always interested in hearing what someone might like. The big baits are a lot of work though, so price would be ++ ya know. I sent some 3oz stuff to brandon pope for some offshore fishing. Said they worked great but couldnt get the fish through the schooling sharks under the boat some 50ft. I think he told me that they were 20lb fish dont remember the type though. The only thing on the big baits I really am not interested in purchasing hooks for these things as people have many preferences as to why I have stayed away from them for the most part. I made some of them with holographics and some foil. The foil looks amazing on them and pretty realistic.

Van if you dont mind post a pic or two, or emailing to me when you get a chance. I meant to take pics, but at 5am I am not interested in taking pics, lol.

Piepuncher glad that the test baits I sent you worked out. Right now only about 4-5 people have even saw them. I think they are very realistic looking even nicer then what I am currently offering. They are something that I plan to offer down the road as in maybe late fall or next year. Glad to hear about them working for you.

The only thing that I like extra on the lure is to add a ring to the bait. It seems to give it more flutter as it falls. Awsome slabs!!

ensignjason, I can add the extra ring on the front if you like. I have conteplated adding the ring on all my baits for other reasons. Just let me know if you like them on yours.

Thanks for all the interest from everyone on this special.

Right now I would expect 3-4 weeks delivery on whatever you order past this point thru the end of the sale. I tell you this not to cause you to not order, but so you will know beforehand. So keep ordering if you like, but please be understanding in it taking a little while for the way in which I make my baits. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks.
