any body been catchin any bull head at joe pool lately (preferably on state park side). me and my dad plan on going to texarkana 4th july weekend and i wanted to take some live bait for some big flathead.

The best place to catch them is in community ponds. Take some shrimp and load up on em

There is a little park called Red haynes I think in Arlington off of Cooper just North of the YMCA that has a pond FULL of bullheads. Take some worms and have at them.

Start with a pair of snips and get the fins off before they get you. The fish don't care if they are on them but I will bet you a dollar you can't catch a mudcat from your livewell without getting stuck.

After that I hook them like a big minnow.
