Heading down to Corpus soon and thought about hitting the Indian Point Pier just north of Corpus. Anyone else fish there? Just want to see if it's worth trying at night under the lights. Not looking for any particuliar species. Just want to catch some fish (specs, reds, drum, sand trout, whiting, or even a gaftop would be fine). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Its a rough place to fish when the winds are high, which is often, so you may want to swing by ahead of time to check it out.

Thanks Ryan. After looking at the map, I bet it gets hammered by those SE winds. I fished the Cole Park pier a bit last year when we were down there. Caught plenty of hard heads, a few sand trout and managed one 14" mangrove snapper.

Not far from indian point is the jetty next to the Lex. The ship shields it pretty good from the wind at most times. I do OK there usually. No lights on the jetty itself though, but maybe worth a shot.

I was at the USS Lex this past weekend. The water was murky, the winds were howling, and everyone I saw there fishing were not catching anything. I saw lures as well as baits being used and no fish noted being caught.

If the water is nice walk the shore line where the pier is,I used to live in Portland and the fishing was good along there.
