I just bought boatlanes for Fork to put on my HB 1197. All went easy. my question is the marked routes are laid out in icons instead of a path or route. Its not a problem but just wanted to know if anyone elses did the same. also, the blue icons are waypoints which added over 400+ waypoints to the others I had saved. I guess I just stay in the path of the icons and treat them like a routed path.

The blue waypoints(icon) mark the main boat lanes. The red/yellow waypoints mark guide lanes.

Turn off waypoint decluttering if it's on. It makes following them a lot easier. I'm working on creating a track from the waypoints so that you can load a track instead of 500+ waypoints on your system. Toledo Bend and Rayburn both come with a file that just has waypoint or trails. You can also load a file that has everything. There are a ton of waypoints on those two lakes so you can max out your graph in no time if you load all 3 lakes.

That's why I bought the Fork, Rayburn and Toledo chips seperate rather than a "all in one".

will do. i will check on that and if its on Ill turn it off. track, in my opinion, would be better and easier too. also, mine just shows the blue waypoints. No red/yellow ones for guide lanes. guide lanes? I assume that is routes that fishing guides have come up with.

i like running in the 3d view when running boat lanes at fork... i also made a trip around the lake one day and saved trails in addition to go waypoint to waypoint each time.. just so i could see whats coming up and have my correct route to travel in bright red

+1. My Lowrance 520c is now out of waypoint memory, just as I was about to mark a brushpile I found off-shore.
