Headed to Port A, or somewhere in the surrounding area, for a weekend and need recommendations on where to stay and a good inshore guide for me and the wife. Would like a lighted pier at the condo/hotel. Any ideas?

Have you been to Channelview Condos? I was wondering how the fishing is off of the pier. We are going down there in August.

for a guide, call Jon Fails. He fishes the Land cut down to and including Baffin Bay. He will put you on fish. http://www.landcut.com/

Jack Culberson out of Rockport. He fishes all over that area. Great guy, retired fireman and a good friend. You will have a ball!!!!

I have alway's caught fish from Chanelview pier.Hot summer late at night with live shrimp.Not all that great during the day.Most of the time i start fishing around 10 pm..
