Its actually slowed down somewhat. They are peaking at 2000cfs now which isnt too bad but still too high for good fishing. If you look at the graph it looks like a roller coaster going up and down. Wish they would at least let it stay down for a day or two on the weekends.

as far as the power demand. that usually takes place in the early afternoon. last summer they would start releasing around rough 1:00-1:30. and shut it down oh, somewhere around 7 if i remember correctly. this summer their just trying to get the water down low where the guys can mess with the flood gates.
if theres water in there they cant work. i guess even tho the water is 3ft low, they don't want to run the risk of it building back up to pool level & putting a stop to the work.

Good to know, what type of bass were you catching? striper or largemouth.

Steve...If I was home I'd go with ya....I live 15 minutes from there. I have had fair luck wading out at the little gravel launch at Riverside Park. There is a kind of a gravel bottomed basin with a series of submerged rocks there. I use a sinking shooting head (actually a Teeny 250) and cast out into the basin. Let the line sweep thru....retrieve and cast again. The fishing is slow, but the bass I have caught have been pretty good sized. Takes about 30 casts per fish...so it is slow but doable. Also caught some good sized (15-20 inch) channel cats there.
