The Texas Striper Association will host an open NSBA sanctioned striper tournament at Lake Whitney on Saturday, May 14, 2005. Entry fees are $80 for TSA members and $100 for everybody else.

There will also be an Amateur Division, with entry fees of $25 for TSA members and $35 for nonmembers. Last time at Whitney all of us fishing the Amateur Division got blanked, so don't feel like you need striper guide fishing skills to compete with us! smile

Tournament headquarters will be at the Redwood Lodge. The Redwood Lodge is a great place to bring the entire family, and several of the contestants plan on bringing the kids along to take advantage of the pool, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and horseshoe pits. There will also be a fish fry after the tournament.

Email me if you would like a flyer for the tournament. The Tournament Director is Ronda Tankersley, (817) 219-2230.

Good job Capt Joe.
I am really looking foward to this one.The Redwood Lodge is the best place I have been in a long time for the weigh in and activities after the tournament.Redwood lodge goes all out for the TSA.The staff at Redwood made sure that everyone had what they needed and was comfortable. They suplied the refreshments and fire pit/firewood for the weigh in last time. The cafe was open before the captains meeting for breakfast. Are we doing the crawfish afterwards?

Hey Randy, we're doing a fish fry afterwards, but I'll bring a sack of crawfish for Friday night (more if we need them).

Here's what to expect....

Any takers besides me and Randy?

Steve, you should make the trip down to Whitney and join us for the crawfish boil and the tournament. Has it been two years since you've guided down there? I have room for one more in the BaySteath. smile

I'm done with trying to get crawfish in DFW. I checked with the grocery store and my crawfish will not arrive until Saturday. This is about the 10th time something has gone wrong with a crawfish order over here.

So, I'm making a run to Shreveport to pick up a sack at Farmer's Seafood early tomorrow. I said we would boil crawfish and I'm by **** gonna get some to boil. Besides, you can't buy crab boil in the right quantities here anyway.

Would somebody tell me why I left 'Sportsman's Paradise' to move here? Nevermind, I remember, it was so I could have a good job and not have to marry my cousin. smile
