i have a 1972 20H Johnson should i be worried about the ethanol on this motor?

I am. I have been using the Marine stabil. I am not sure how much it helps, but I figure it can’t hurt.


Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Yea me too doesent help just had to change all fuel lines and fuel pump really nothin to worry about just fix it when it cloggs up aint nuthin you can do anyways unless ya can get the alcohol out of the gas

yeah, carbs & fuel pump are at risk unless they been rebuilt with new kits in the last 10 years or so. and fuel lines.

The motor itself won't mind it so much.

Its a good idea to clean out your fuel tank before your first load of E-10, else the alcohol will clean it and deliver the gunk to your motor.

yep thats the story Im heren the oil dogs are addin more and more alcohol because they can and more PROFIT its cheaper. Would be willin to bet if ya tested alcohol content nation wide it would be closer to 20% than 10%
