Im going to Star Lake for a fishing trip next week with my girlfriends family. Im psyched to catch my first wall eye

If people understood what was important in life, there would be a shortage of fishing poles.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I love catching both those species, but it's been years since I've had a chance to catch Northern, and I've only had a couple isolated Smallmouth here in Texas.

Beautiful scenery!

If you have not had the experience of going North to fish, you are really missing out. I have been going to Canada for about 18 years, and the 2 years I missed out were the longest years of my life, at least it seemed that way. The scenary, fishing, remoteness are unbelievable. Rainy Lake is one of the Top smallmouth lakes in North America. I have never been on it, I go a little farther north, but most any lake is going to be an unforgettable adventure.
