Taking my boy there thurs morning, gonna fish tx side, do i need any special liscence to fish here, is the water being let out, what bait works best for cats here,any info will be helpful

Texas side down to the creek, tx lic. okay is the way it used to be.. i'd check TPWD web site to make sure it hasn't changed tho.

On the TX side all you need is a TX Lic. This will cover you to the creek. If you go past the creek or step in the water you need an OK Lic. The Texoma Lic is only good for the Lake.
From that I have seen be careful as the Game warderns are out a lot there these days.

If you use bing and put in Denison Dam under the map section it will show you the state lines,that way you only need a Tx license, right now they are only releasing from 10am to 6 pm. If you take some shad you may be able to also hook some stripers as well.Any questions shoot me a pm and I may be able to help out a bit.

on the texas side if you walk all the way down the rocky bank about 1500 yards from the dam there is a deep hole where big blues and channels like to stay at. seen a couple of dudes pull 10# from there not sure what they were using. take alot of water cuz for some reason it gets really hot out there.
