I know the majority of members on this forum are from the Dallas/Ft. Worth area but us fishermen and women need to stick together and keep it from getting worse. Any help, any of you can do would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm posting this in the stiper/white bass section because Canyon is such a good lake for these species.

Friends of Canyon Lake

The Major Issues

Recreational use of lake and adverse impact on a recreation-based economy
Water quality issues with increased sewage discharge in a threatened river and a drastically lowered lake
Boat Ramps
"Dry Docking" of Boats and Slips in Marinas
Economic hardship on area businesses
Decline in property values
Impact on county revenues and tax base for school district
Fish and Wildlife concerns
Public Safety
Quality of Life Issues
Structural Integrity of the Dam
Canyon Lake will become like Medina Lake
AND, the GBRA water from Canyon Lake, when available, may be about the most costly of any water in Texas, and maybe even the entire U.S.! Cheaper water may be available soon from Kinney County and the region west of San Antonio!
There are serious issues that are not being addressed. We want the GBRA and TCEQ to properly address these issues and delay all action until these issues are adequately researched, reported to the affected parties, and public notice of the impact is made and a hearing is allowed.

Isn't that a fair request?

Yeh!! It looks like our water is going to be
going mainly to the golf course at Fair Oaks and
the new course at Cordillera Ranch. Sad part
about it is going for a rich man's sport and
not that much for needed household use. I am
not giving up! They will never make me play
golf. That game is for people that do not know
how to fish. Good Day; ><{{*>
