Make SURE you HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE!! Before AND during your outing. wear clothing to keep the sun off you, drink some more water, and find some shade or cover that provides FISH with shade as stated above. also, hop on in and cool off! I have to agree with Buda, as a kid growing up fishing Cypress Springs, the Docks and lily pads seemed to call me during the heat of the day. I knew NOTHING about the offshore/structure fishing back then. Now I know ALMOST nothin..

Thanx All. I just have to get mentally ready to fight this heat. Plenty of water and shade seems to be the key.

I know everyone here are pure fisherman, but what about live bait? less work for you! Nothing wrong with live bait, it's just a personal preference.. That technique is known for deep hooking some fish, but a lot of people use circle hooks now, which helps. I like the idea of 'tricking' those finicky bass with a soft plastic but that's just me

Evan, Just got back from fishing in Florida and we fished with shinners and circle hooks. Caught alot of fish with I think only one deep hook. The guide had us count to 10 before we set the hook. Tooke afew time to get used to that.
