ive seen a few but what would be the best to use at lake weatherford and grandbury? ive tried shad but only catch yellow bass on them.

Ask five folks and you'll probably get six answers on the best dip to use. Personally, I use Secret 7, others use Danny Kings and the latest buzz is about a bait called Sudden Impact. Most (all?) of these baits can be bought at Olsen's in North Fort Worth.

Yep, you will get a ton of different answers on this topic. I myself like SureShot which is a punchbait. Only dip bait ive used is Secret 7, no luck on it so I stick with SureShot.

the only fish we got that weekend was at catfish pond and dang it was 4.00 a lbs. yea crazy but i have babies and there smile is worth it never agian Secert 7 sorry never agian !!!!

I havent tried Sudden Impact but have heard good things and I plan on trying it out. Use a # 4 or # 6 treble hook for the punchbait, if there are alot of small cats you may have to go to a #8 treble. You can get SI at Olsens in Ft Worth but you would have to drive to Decatur to get SureShot.

whats the place in decatur called? i have to go to lakeworth to see my mother in law but im out in rhome alot so it wouldnt be to bad of a drive later on in the week

I have been using Sonny's dip bait for about 5 yrs. now. It still outfishes all other dip baits, punch baits, worms ect. Shad is the only bait that it has not outdone as of now anyway. It is super sticky and stays on your dip bait holder better than any other also. You can cast it out far without it flinging off and it holds up well in a current with the right dip holder. Cabela's use to stock it but no more. but you can google it up on the internet and order some from Zeiners bait shop in Wichita Kansas.

You can also go to Bennys house in Decatur at the address above. Just go to the back where his shed is and leave your money, its an honor system. Very easy to do!

Olsen's does not sell Sure Shot. Best punch bait they have on their shelves is Mr Whiskers. Just make sure you get the cheese and not the blood.
