Whos the best guide on Amistad? Planning a trip and want to go out with someone with a good knowledge of the lake.

I vote JC Gwynne JC Gwynne - The Amistad Man

JC is a great guy who knows the lake in and out. He's also honest about what to expect on a given day considering the weather or the current bite on the lake. And he does know Amistad in and out.

I did a full day with him last week on Amistad, and he was honest right from the get go. It was a super windy day and he told us before we even headed out, "we're going to go out, but I'm not going to lie, we're going to be miserable". We had a tough bite all day, and knowing that my friend and I were going to be down there the rest of the week, he took the time to take us around to a few spots we didn't even fish and tell us to try those during the week. These spots kept us out of the worst wind, and produced two 6+lb bass.

Great guy all around and an exceptional guide!

I've got two days booked with JC for Friday and Saturday. I hope that blasted Amistad wind stays some what under control.
