If you use ebay you can probably find a g loomis frog rod for under that price, i got mine new for $180. I know there are some used ones that go less then that. I would also recommend several falcon caras but i think the longer rods they have will go over your price limit, exp= cara amistad, mike m. heavy cover, or bobbys perfect frog rod.

I honestly don't think you can get a better one than CastAways Skeleton Grass Master Braid SKFGHB73 7'3" with a great tip for casting. I use mine for heavy C-rigs and a heavy cover flippin rod also. The Skeleton is a split grip, if you prefer a full cork grip go with the XP3 series GHB73-X same blank just full cork and different reel seat. either rod is in your price range < $150. CastAways are USA made, in Montgomery, Texas. ...FishFreakOnline... is a great place to get them (usually cheaper, no freight or tax, out of state) or they can be order direct from ...CastAway...

if this rod is strictly for froggin you do not need a super sensitive rod...meaning you can spend a little less on a frog rod.
main attributes for a frog rod are strength, power, and enough tip to cast frogs/toads.
i have a dobyns savvy 705c that i use to pitch jigs/t-rigs but i would be a great frog rod if you need to stay at 7' or under and it only cost ~150 bucks

I have had several frog rods, loomis, st croix, etc. I hate to say it, but my favorite is the teserra frog/senko rod. I have two of them and went to caddo a few weeks ago and wore out the grass with frogs and ribbits. I tried my best to break em and couldnt. They have enough tip you can chunk the frog, and enough backbone to hit em hard. My only complaint with the other rods I have had was the tip was to stiff and had a hard time casting with accuracy. I teamed them with quantum pt high speed reels and 65 lb power pro braid. It handled the braind real well. I dont think they would be sensitive enough to fish the senko, but you dont need that for the frog.
good luck.

If you are trying to stay under $200 I would go with the cara amistad. I have one and just ordered another. Has enough tip to really get your bait where you want it but plenty of backbone to get the fish out. Add in the fact that it is super light weight and you have a great stick for chunking frogs all day!

Give Michael Hendrix a call about his IM10 line. These blanks he is using don't take quite as stiff a rating and are super light. They were originally designed for a lighter rig for Tuna fishing. He is building me one right now.
