I'm getting my tackle ready to fish Ivie Tuesday and Wednesday. I heard the c-rig works good there. We will be fishing in 20+ feet deep and need to know what lenght leader to tie on. Anyone have any other tips? Deep fishing is not my favorite. Guess I'll adapt.

I like 4'-5' leaders. See you are from Mansfield. Joe Pool is a good lake to learn how to fish the C-rig.

I always give up on it at Joe Pool and throw a crankbait or a plastic. I need to use it more. Thanks for the reply.

If your fishing Icy Tuesday and Wednesday, I suggest you have a 4ft leader with a 4oz weight to keep it on bottom in the 25-30 mph winds that are forecast.

Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Yea, Wednesday when NOAA said 5-15 and I went, it was 26-30 and rolling on the main lake.
