Been to Galveston 3 times in the past 2 weeks with TK2005. No decent fish. We fished the tides also. Wednesday we hit both location and nothing. Where do you need to go to get some fish to take home? Help!!!!

Somebody help us out. We have been to Rollover and Seawolf twice each in the last week and come up empty handed. Although if anyone goes to Seawolf and finds a fish (thinking Bull red the way he took off with my line) with a 2 drop steel leader with two 3/0 red circle hooks and a 3oz sinker stuck in his mouth, kick his a$$ for me.

The only thing dumber than a fish is a fisherman.

Bank fishing can be tough. You need to get out and explore new places. Sometimes you're gonna come dejected and empty handed. Other times you'll do well.

Find somewhere that offers the fish what they want...moving current, some form of structure, bait, and deep water adjacent to shallows.

You're gonna have to pay your dues and there's no way around that. Also, change the time of day that you're going. I've got some spots that only produce in the hour before dawn. I'll catch my limit during that hour. Get there too early or too late and you won't catch a thing.

If you keep doing the same thing at the same place and it's not producing then you need to change it up.

well im not an expert galveston fisherman but i just came back from a week vacation and i fished crystal beach and caught whiting all day on just a sinker and shrimp. man are those fish good to eat! im telling you. go out to crystal beach, wade out about 10 ft in the water, cast and within a few minutes, you'll land a whiting. Im assuming if you catch a smaller one, you could cut it up and use it to catch bigger fish but man o man i was literally getting bored of catching fish and left. give it a try and let me know how it goes for you.

I just got back from Galveston.Got there around 5:30 am First went to 8 mile road on the bay,Caught a butt load of bait fish with a throw net. That was a first. That was all I caught there.then went to the Jeddy at 39th street with the mud minnows(?)and dead shrimp around 7:30 and started catching fish.3 black fin sharks,1 Spanish mackerel,5 sheepshead 3 sand trout,1 red and a bunch of whiting and gaff top.I only stopped because I ran out of bait. It's been a good Fathers day.The sea weed is much less than earlier in the week and the water looks like it could be clearing up.

I throw a lot of lures. Haven't had much luck lately. So, decided to throw some live. Hell, at this point, I would be happy to catch a croaker, lol.
