After 10 years of hooking up to trailers by myself, I thought it would be nice to get a back up camera. Does anybody have an aftermarket setup?and which one?

The cameras are cool.I bought a 2010 truck and really wanted the camera but just could not part with the extra $$ to get it.Acadamy has the next best thing. It is a setof 2 in the trailer supply aisle. Each is a magnet attached to a telescoping rod (like an antenna maybe 36" long) and a yellow ball attached to the rod. Stick 1 on the hitch, right behind the ball, 1 on the tounge of trailer directly above where the ball will be when hitched and back up till the 2 balls meet.Works EVERY time and is 20$. Sounds cheesey but it really does work. Be careful telescoping the rod in and out, they did not spend much at the factory making them.

I got one for a b-day present about 3 years ago. Put it on my old Expedition and loved it. They are about $100 now and are wireless. I bought my mom one for her truck.
That was one of the requirements on my F-350 when I got it. I put an aftermarket stereo in it and had them wire in the camera so now it is on a 7" screen as well as the rear view mirrow.

plumber... the GF bought me those after i stepped out of the truck to hook up to the trailer and fell on my arse(it was muddy and there was a snake), broke wrist and herniated a disc in my back, first use the stick on the ball was broke from the trailer tounge eating it, really wanting a one shot deal, im getting tired of getting in and out a couple of times to hook up.

I bought a pair of those magnet sticks from Cabela's, then found out they won't work on a stainless steel ball.

And I though only carp like that happened to me. I was looking at putting backup camera's in my company's service vans not to long ago also. Try DFW Camper Coral they were the least expensive I found, and you might also try Earmark you'll pay a little more but they do a real clean installation. They are who I use to install the viper alarm systems in our vans. DFW Camper does good work too, I use them for tint, ventshades and toolboxes etc.

Been have one on the truck for 3 yrs now, can't beat it since the wife don't know how to guide me backing up. Takes me one time to back up and I'm right over the ball, got that from Wally World 3yr ago.
FYI, Advance Auto Parts store now sells them. They have the GPS and Back up camera combo or you can by just the back up system alone.

what is the range on a wireless. I put a hitch on the back of my 5th wheel to be able to tow the boat and was thinking it would be nice to keep an eye on things while going down the road...in case I blew a tire on the boat or something
