just wanted all of ya'll to know that Joshua got his stitches removed on monday and was released to return to work. The doc says the only lasting effects he should have is that nasty scar and an inherent fear of reptiles! thanks so much again for all of the thoughts and prayers in our time of need! words cannot express how much it helped me! God Bless you guys

hey tell him not to scared their was a fellow bit by a snake in the bible and the good LORD JESUS healed him too westtexas sends our prayers i too have a son

Great to hear your son is doing well!
My dad saved me one night from this exact situation. Pretty crazy really.
We had just got done doing some night fishing at a local pond and we were walking back to the truck. It was pitch black, we were not walking with our flashlights (dumb) and I was about 5 feet ahead of him. All the sudden he yelled at me to stop, I didnt know why but I could tell by his voice that he meant right then and there. He grabbed me by the back of my shirt and yanked me backwards while pulling his flashlight out with the other hand.
He shined forward and literally two feet infront of where I was there was a huge cottonmouth coiled up staring right at us. He looked like he was just waiting for me to take that next step so he could light me up.
To this day I have no clue how he saw that black snake on the ground in the pitch black of night, and neither does he. He says he just had a feeling of dread come over him all the sudden and he knew something bad was about to happen right then and there. Like I said, pretty crazy.

i was trying to post it in the thread about the copperhead bite. thank you for the response, he is back to normal now but will have one big ugly scar to remind him to watch for the sorry lil devils!
