Fished RH this morning and had the chance to meet Ruben and Old Birdeye out on the water.....enjoyed meeting you both. It was HOT (weatherwise), and tough fishing. Almost no wind, and very little schooling activity up until I quit at 11 o'clock. Graphed lots of fish in several spots, but almost no bites on all the hardware I could throw at them. Finished with only 5 keeper sandbass (over 12"), and about a dozen non-keeper undersize hybrids also caught. Pretty slow ! Larry (jsd30)

It was good to meet you too, Larry. Ruben and I ended with only 22 between us. I still had a good time and enjoy fishing with Ruben, but I've never had as tough a year as this one on RH.

Yeah, Old Birdeye, I agree on the tough year. It was really good up until about the first part of June, and then it got tough for me as well. Hopefully it will get better !

I was out there monday and went through the same thing-some fish, not a whole lot. I hate throwing back undersize hybrids, but its alright. Seems like some people know the spots and they come home boating a whole lotta fish, others come home with a couple of box sandies.
I don't really know what to type here.

Iamquockie, I responded to you on this on the LL report also. RH has been strange the last several weeks. The fish don't seem to be feeding much. The lake is usually much more predictable than this.

I fished RH again this morning, Thurs, 7-20. There was sporadic schooling activity very early, but they were moving fast and didn't stay up long. The fishing was tough again, and the wind died down to nearly nothing, and it got HOT in a hurry. I quit at 10 o'clock with 12 keeper sandbass (12" & better), and one 24" hybrid. Most fish were suspended at about 16-18 feet, and I graphed a lot of fish, but they weren't cooperating much. I'll be glad when this tough "cycle" is over, and Hubbard gets back to more "normal".

yea, I remember bird eye. I am just wanting to see if there is a trend anywhere. I am looking to repair my dad's boat and use it and want to be prepared to really boat some fish when I get on the water.
