There have been some reports of Black Bass and Sand Bass being caught. Cat fishing is good around Costello Island and towards the river. Lake is alive but catching has been tough.

Last three guide trips no keeper Striper were caught. I warned all three partys of the poor fishing.

Creeks are all full of bait. I caught bait for one of the three trips in Rock Creek. I watched an old man catch perch one right after another while I was catching bait.

The fishing got bad after the 6.5 inch rain we had above PK. We were still catching fish during the alga bloom.

I think the fish need time to group back up. I could be wrong but I expect fishing at PK to be good again soon.

Start at Cedar Creek first.(State Park Creek) Most of the good reports are coming from that area.

My guide service has pulled out of PK for now but.....I hope to be back on PK fishing before the summer is over. We will see!

Thanks for the report. I figured it was pretty bad as no one has been posting about it for a while. I got into sandys real good last year by state park. Probably go there again as we will be launching at bass hollow. Thanks again!

Skeeter fish hard because there are fish there. Not alot of folks fishing for them right now.Report back how you do.

Go to the state park and get on the gas dock. Take some left over bait or some dog food. You will see that there are still large fish in PK

I have been catching some bass in the back of creeks, I will be heading out there this weekend.

We will be night fishing off our dock for whites, stripers and cats. For some reason I have had better luck fishing at night for whites and stripers than during the day. I just got done building some crappie piles as a fathers day gift.

I have read on this forum that night fishing is good around the docks. As hot as it is gonna be, may have to try it.

Fish the lights with a 2" grub and you will tear them up.

Well our group did ok. We caught 5 or so keeper white bass, some good catfish and lots of carp. The whites were on grubs, cats on chicken liver and carp on bread.

I did see aa good sign though. we had hundreds of sand bass fry swarming our lights chasing glass minnows around. Looks like the
GA didnt kill all of the little ones.

Are there any fish in the river below the Hwy 16 bridge?
