probably at least 7 feet of anchor rope for every foot of lake depth...(and an anchor)

Throwable float needs to have a rope tied to it. ( i use my 50 foot spare anchor rope with a brass clip on it)

Make the dealer throw that most of that stuff in at the last minute...or the deal is off. Be willing to walk away and "sell it" to him. Some dealer...somewhere will do it, if he doesnt.

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Dont think anchor is required but would not go out on big water without one nor would I go out anywhere where tides could affect boats position without one

Anchor is not required, nor is have a rope tied to your throwable PDF.

The rope tyed to a throwable PDF is a U.S. Coast Guard rule. They have jurisdiction on Lake Falcon and Amistad. As well as the texas coast line. They were on Canyon Lake last week as a courtisy patrol, inspecting boats.

If it's not a regulation to have an anchor in Texas, that's crazy !
Bad storm....disabled engine....and no anchor? It's a reg on all the lakes around Shreveport, I know.

You want to be safe or just legal?

A friend of mine received a ticket recently because his fire extinguisher had the push button and not a gauge.

I think the paddle requirement doesn't affect the larger boats-does anyone agree with that??
