Been to Hubbard a couple of times in the past few weeks and I haven't had any success. I've been going in the late afternoon and it's been too windy to spot topwater activity, so I'm relying on the graph. It's not showing a whole lot of fish though. I'm trying everything when I find them, but nothing. I've fished from Robertson park to the red barn, and a few humps here and there. I need some advice, please.

Jwisel and UF, I was out there this morning with about 5 other boats. The wind was manageable at first but then picked up. The fish were schooling out in the middle about a third of the way out from the red barn and moved to the north as the morning went on. Wind made it hard to stay on them and kept them moving. I did not catch much at all below the schoolies. All in all it was not worth the hour drive to get there. I've just about had it with this constant wind. Hope this helps.

Two weeks ago I knew exactly where they were, and exacly what time they would come up, but in this short time and with the wind, the pattern has changed.. I will be out there sat. and sun. That doesn't give much time to figure them out, but you have to stay on the water. I'll try to post if I find them,I know it's especially hard for ya'll that live a ways away, but don't give up!! cheers

As of last weekend the small fish on top bigger fish are about 15" to 20" from the top, to have fun any type of bucktail 1/4 jig head and the tag along on top casting out let it sink about 5' slow reel back you will get two fish each time and that lots of fun.

Don't worry, the wind will die down soon enough. When that happens the heat will go through the roof and the fishing will be in the basement. The next time you are going to hit Hubbard, send me a PM and we'll talk offline. Good day mate thumb

We went out Tuesday afternoon. Wind was pretty gusty. We started north, nothing. West, marked a few but no takers. South, marked quite a few but all we caught were three yellow bass so we moved on. Went to the Iron Horse, nothing. Went further north and met up with my son. He had caught about 15 yellow bass. That was about it. Really uneventful day. I was nice to get away from the office and spend time with my dad though. By this time last year we had been out probably 15 times. We've only managed to get out there three times this year. So it was nice even though we didn't do well.

We will give it another shot Sunday though.

El nitro I will do that next time I'm going. (thanks) it seems that I'm not the only one having pm trouble with the fish. I don't get it, shouldn't we be wearing them out?

been out a lot of mornings lately, all I see is people looking for top water action.seems like nobody knows about the structure.I know they are using it ,just not fishing for sandies. These fish I am cleaning have nothing in there stomach,Bait is hard to get if any .any threadfins I am catching are only about 2"long ,no regular size.that kill did a number on the shad population.

My buddy called me tonight around 10pm to tell me I missed out. He got his boat back from when it was stolen a few weeks ago. They did 13k worth of damage to his boat. He took his girlfriend with him and they bagged around 30 Sandies. He would hook one hand it to her, again and again. Said if there would have been a couple more guys in the boat we would have all limited out. I guess its just the luck of the draw out there, but they were hitting the top of the water, he said.
