I have been seeing all the posts about Secret Seven and Sudden Impact, so I went and bought some SI to try it out. I have been a Mr.Whiskers kind of guy for about 10 years and have always done well with it. So my brother, his two kids and myself get to Alvarado Lake this morning and fished for about 5 hours and ended up with 15 keepers. Wasn't much of a difference in the performance of the two baits. My brother just looked at the SI and went for the Whiskers every time. About an hour from leaving I did manage the big fish of the trip on the SI, a very healthy 4 lb channel. SI is a good bait, just wish it had a little more fiber in it. Sorry no pics.

Hi there. Saw you post and have experienced the same results. I ran out to canyon lake last friday to purchase some SI. I heard it was the best thing since the invention of bottled water! Well I tried it a couple of times this week with poor results. You are right MORE FIBER! The strands that come in it are, in my opinion, too short. I only get a few casts out of each reload. Just my opinion... Maybe im loading it wrong but i did it as they showed in the team catfish video! smile

Hey dont, I'm boat fishing. Never tried around the boat ramp. All fish were caught in less than 3 feet of water. PM me your number, maybe we can hit the lake together in my boat. I usually fish during the week though.

I have the same problem with Danny Kings, not enough fiber in it, so what I do is get some cotton balls and cut them up, then mix them in the dip, that firms it up pretty good.

Keep on keeping on
