Is there anywhere to stay near Cooper that is not the State Park Cabins?

The cabins are booked and we might want to stay after we fish on Saturday. Prefer a cabin, hotel, etc....

Thanks,

JL

There is several motels in sulphur springs. They should have plenty of rooms available.

Did you call the park direct or were you going through Austin?

There has been confusion in the past, it is best to contact the park.

We went through Austin. We have never been to Cooper. Does it have any hotels near the water or would we need to trailer the boat to a hotel near by?

Thanks,

JL

+1 on fast guys post, I have stayed in the north end lodge and reasonable, just have to run the trees, theres is boat lanes marked. Or drive down to Doctors or go further to public ramp at few miles down. Cant remember the name easy to find follow the signes. Brown Signs will lead the way for the sober, I always have to find Super Duck and Redirect, THANK GODNESS TERRY HAS A DRIVERS LICENSE.

But there is no fish in lake, but nice scenic view mostly.

John's Creek Lodge is a good place to stay. Its not the Four Seasons but its clean, neat, has a nice cold ac, and the people are really good to deal with.

John's Creek Lodge! Great place, nice owners. Close to a boat ramp. I highly recommend it.
