I fished a 12 hour once and it was brutal. I was falling asleep on the trolling motor at sun rise. I was cat napping during my retrieve of every cast by morning. I do suggest a break or two if youre going for 16 hours. We took a voluntary break during the 12 hour. Came in rested for a while and went back at it; I still got too tired to finish.

Anyhow where do I sign up?

The 16 hour Bassathon tournament is a go. More details will be announced very soon by the tournament director.

Depending on the lake I might be in.

I vote for Athens! Its an easy lake to fish and pretty safe to run even for someone who has never seen the lake. And everyone will catch tons of fish too!

Most of you haven't ever been close to this kind of beating before

The king of cowtown is a complete beat down(4 lakes in 2 days) and we get a 3 hour break between lakes

This one should be fun. But I hope its overnight

Not sure I understand why anyone would need to sleep for a while during a 16 hour event, especially if it starts early in the morning like Clint said. Getting up at 6 a.m. and staying up until 10 p.m. is 16 hours. It's like getting up, going to work, driving home, and staying up until the 10 o'clock news comes on. How many of us have to sleep for a few hours when we do that?

I can't count how many times I've gotten on the lake before daylight and fished until well after dark. It's not that hard, especially if you're going something you enjoy.

I look forward to hearing the details.

My curiousity is definitely piqued. Fishing 16 hours straight is good for me. I'm up from 3:45am to 11pm pretty much every day so it's all good. Athens would be sweet, as would Cypress.
