Don't look at this post fisherwood or pondbass!!

I'm 3rd place in the Txfishes.com multi-species tourney and it ends on the 21st. I have maybe one or two trips left in me. I need to catch 1 each of the listed species for CPR (catch, photo and release). What lake would be best to get a chance at the most species in one trip? 3 species in one trip and ole Fisherwood won't have a chance! I was thinking maybe fork for gar, bowfin and both crappie? Been trying benbrook with little luck.

white crappie
black crappie
hybrid
striper
yellow bass
freshwater drum (i know, almost impossible to target)
alligator gar
longnose gar
spotted gar
bowfin
yellow bullhead (white chin barbels)
redear sunfish
warmouth

If you go to mountain creek and fish the rocks with a crank bait, you will get a drum. I catch one almost every time I fish there. There is also a lot of longnose in the back creek channel, as well as crappie. Might try it out since it is local.

Fork could produce all of those.

Mark, hit up Llela and fish white roadrunners along the bottom, or cut shad/bluegill or shrimp for drum/gar. If you get lucky you might even pick up a Hybrid.

I'm thinking Fork Saturday for as many of my list as I can get, I may die trying to be out there all day but at least I'll know I died trying to WIN! and Dennison Dam Sunday after work if I get off early enough for striper and some suckers and a 4inch plus shad that I can log lol. I predict I'll need at least 6 or 8 more species to win this thing. I just wish I knew the lake better. I've only fished Fork from a friends boathouse. never from a boat.

man i'd go hit Fork if that was up to me.. I'd crappie fish under the bridges and you should'nt have a problem catching a black and a white crappie.. You should also snag a yellow bass doing that. I'm not sure how a guy would target bowfin, for me they just kind of happen.. but they're usually on a spinnerbait. Then you can go fish in any protected coves and SHOULD be able to catch warmouth and redear. Also a ton of gar in that lake... I hate to say it, but Ray Hubbard would be my next choice

Yeah sounds like its gonna be fork all day Saturday and Dennison dam sunday for striper. I think it'd be possible to get 8 species on Fork and 2 or 3 at dennison. I think that might be enough to win it. Funny part is I forgot what the prizes are I just want the bragging rights til next year!
