Went to the new Wheeler Branch reservoir today in Glen Rose. Looks like there will be some nice facilities for the public which actually opens next week. Unfortunately, it does not open for fishing until next year sometime. When it does let's hope the walleye that have been stocked, actually thrive.

That should make for a great kayak lake!

Glen Rose ought to be a bass fishing hot spot for the next few years with this small lake and Squaw Creek reopening.

Looks interesting. They've stocked a bunch of smallies there too. Didn't know about this. I'll be very interested once it opens. Not too many 180 acre lakes with depths of 75 feet around.
