 Live shrimp vs. Gulp!

We all know both catch fish. Which is better? The Gulp are way easier to deal with, but I think they are more expensive per bait than live. The pint size which is $20, looks like it only has maybe 20 or so baits. What do ya'll think? Just wondering if I should try them since I rarely use live because I fish the surf or jetty (no boat or livewell).

Gulp will save you money over live bait. One package of gulp contains between 5-6 jigs. Each jig will catch you no less than 4 fish before it starts to rip up. That's 20 fish for $5 pack of jigs vs. $8 for a pint of live shrimp. You'll end up losing at least 1/4 of the live shrimp to bait thieves, but theres no chance of that with the gulp. The bait thieves will pick at it, but they can't jack it.

With all the dang perch on the jetties right now, you will be running through bait reguardless or live or gulp.
Another plus for gulp, if you don't use it all, you can take it home with you and it will be ready to go on the next trip.
You won't have to carry a 5 gallon bucket around with a aerator for gulp either...

thats what sucks about live shrimp. its the carrying the freaking bucket with aerator around
