I know nobody came predict exactly how the fishing will be after all the rain we have had, but need your guy's/ gal's opinions on whether to keep my trip as planned or schedule my guided trip for another day.

Scenerio:
Guided trip Friday 7am with Royce Simmons, my wife, and 2 children (need this to be a productive and fun trip to get the kids hooked)

Thursday-Sunday cabin stay to hit all the spots and techniques learned from guided trip.

A little skiing, tubing (for kids), and horseshoes

Has my weekend just been ruined? Should I reschedule my guide? I don't get to go on guided trips very often and like for them to be worthwhile. What has been your experience?

weekendwarrior,

I'm a local from near RC and I've always heard pretty good things about Simmons. I think you'll be OK even with the heavy rain. RC doesn't have many feeder creeks on the main lake(near the dam). Beacause of that, the main lake area isn't affected as much by all of the rain. In fact, it may help. I think you guys will do well and with a break in the weather expected Friday and Saturday the family should have a great time too. The white bass surface action is just starting to crank up on RC, and I've heard of some really nice Hybrids being landed lately too. By the way, where are you staying? I always like givin a little $#@! whoopin in horseshoes!!
Good Luck!!!

We are staying at the cabins next to Edward's hardware store I believe (?) Royce normally puts his clients at Fisherman's point, but they were booked. Thanks for the reply, and we will let everyone know how it goes.

Not many people can put a whoopin on me in horseshoes smile , but my buddy is probably going to bring washer boards as well because he knows that. If your in the area, don't hesitate to stop in and talk fishing.

Steve,

I can only hope I have half as much fun with Royce as I did on the trip with you. Of course, this will be about getting my kids into fish, not cutting up with a bunch of goobers laugh laugh laugh

Spaz,

I should have a lot to write about when we get back. I will be sure to report.
