You know you're a fisherman if...

a member of your family sits down at the computer and is greeted by google maps zoomed into a tree in the middle of a lake somewhere.

you have tennis elbow but don't play tennis.

you HATE having to wake up at 8a.m. for work during the week but will wake up at 6 on a Saturday to fish at the drop of a hat.

you know the structure at the bottom of your favorite lake like the back of your hand but can't seem to find your keys.

you enjoy the smell of a plastic worm.

more than half of your personal possessions are fishing gear.

you've gotten up in the middle of the night to be sure your fishing gear is in the right place and nothing is wrong with it.

your neighbors know you as "that weird fishing guy who always casts weights in the yard."

you think keeping some kind of game fish as a pet is a good idea, or you already have one.

you often find small pieces of cut mono all around the house.

you can't stand a small cut on your finger but will proudly endure having your thumb rubbed raw by fish mouths.

you've caught yourself trying to tie your shoe with a palomar knot and have to start over.

you've mentioned the terms carolina rig or texas rig to a person who doesn't fish just because you want them to ask about it so you can explain the difference.

you've used the phrase "ease right up there."

If... you put the BIG one in the bathtub and you're not talking about your wife

If... you play with your rods all day

If... you have fish scales in your soap bars

If... you talk about drifters, you're not talking about wandering hobos

If... there are 7 inches to a foot and 5 ounces to a pound

If... you would rather see a striper than a stripper

If... you set the hook in your sleep

If... you fish in 100 degree heat

If... you have to move fishing gear to walk in your garage

If... you recycle old lures to make jewelry for your wife

If... your on the TFF at 3 a.m trying to come up with some more "you know you're a fisherman if" scenarios

Stripper or striper ----- I am a fisherman -- But i must draw the line somewere.

It's hard to beat a school of strippers

But hey striper/stripper it's all about the same, your gonna smell like fish either way

you keep a pole in your car just in case.

... you put the brand of your boat on your back window. SO even when you arnt pulling it you are still "representing"

If...you buy stuff you don't need and will never use cause you need help.

if - your boat is 5yrs newer than your truck!

You make a big hole in the water and throw money into said hole until a boat materializes.

Then you continue to throw money into said hole to keep the image of the boat from fading.

And it goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on................................................

And when ANYBODY asks how much money you have invested in your boat...you ALWAYS give them the original purchase price...not a penny more!

someone mentions "boiling" and your first thought has nothing to do with cooking.

you think of game wardens like they're superheroes.

you have more money tied up in fishing lures, line, rods & reels than your house is worth!

your wife is always nagging about you not being home enough.
